KESAI AGROCHEM's Smart Warehouse Goes Live, Setting a New Benchmark in Agrochemical Intelligent Storage
As KESAI AGROCHEM continues to advance its modernization, informatization, and intelligent production systems, the company has launched the "Smart Warehouse System Integration Project" at both of its production bases to enhance flexible storage capacity and integrated operation and maintenance capabilities. This initiative creates a dedicated three-dimensional warehouse that integrates automated storage, intelligent scheduling, and digital control.
After multiple rounds of technical solution comparisons and industry site inspections, and taking into account the actual plant conditions and various operational factors, the warehouse retrofit project at Shandong Kesai Bioengineering Co., Ltd. ultimately selected the "four-way shuttle intelligent three-dimensional warehouse solution," which is now in operation. This solution offers three major advantages: high density, high flexibility, and high fault tolerance. It triples the storage capacity per unit area, maximizing warehouse space utilization. Equipped with two elevators and four shuttles, the system allows all four shuttles to operate simultaneously or to be flexibly allocated based on operational efficiency. The failure of a single elevator or shuttle does not interrupt overall operations. The equipment has also been specially modified with anti-corrosion and moisture-proof treatments to adapt to the unique conditions of agrochemical production. The supporting full-chain digital systems – WMS, WCS, and SCADA – enable FIFO (First-In-First-Out), designated batch outbound, near-expiry priority outbound, full inventory traceability, and real‑time equipment monitoring via digital twins, seamlessly integrated with the enterprise's ERP system to form a closed‑loop "order‑inventory‑equipment" linkage. During the project implementation phase, the operation model was iteratively optimized based on real‑world order scenarios, and multiple rounds of simulation and stress testing were conducted before go‑live to ensure smooth and stable commissioning.
Meanwhile, Shandong Dehao Chemical Co., Ltd. has been designed from the planning stage according to the "stacker crane elevated intelligent three-dimensional warehouse" scheme. This project is currently under intensive construction and is scheduled to be put into use by November.
Digital empowerment drives manufacturing, and smart development leads progress. Looking ahead, KESAI AGROCHEM will continue to deepen intelligent upgrades across the entire industrial chain, unlock the value of warehousing data, integrate front‑end production with back‑end sales, and build an integrated digital supply chain. By empowering premium crop protection product supply with smart manufacturing, the company remains committed to safeguarding global food security and continuously injecting technological momentum into the high‑quality development of modern agriculture.
