Product Overview

GallentPowerPlus® is a ternary herbicide containing 4% Nicosulfuron + 20% Terbuthylazine + 7% Mesotrione in an oil dispersion (OD) formulation. It combines three active ingredients with distinct modes of action, offering a comprehensive solution for integrated weed management in maize fields.

Key Features

1. Triple-Action Technology for Synergistic Control

Each active ingredient targets weeds through a different mechanism:

· Nicosulfuron (ALS inhibitor) – rapidly absorbed and translocated, providing outstanding control of annual grasses.

· Terbuthylazine (PSII inhibitor) – delivers long-lasting residual activity and enhanced control of broadleaf weeds, while suppressing new flushes.

· Mesotrione (HPPD inhibitor) – causes rapid bleaching (whitening) of treated weeds, with excellent performance against resistant broadleaf species.

This three-pronged approach significantly reduces the risk of resistance development.

2. Broad-Spectrum Weed Control

GallentPowerPlus® effectively controls a wide range of grass and broadleaf weeds, including:

Grasses:

· Goosegrass (Eleusine indica)

· Crabgrass (Digitaria spp.)

· Barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli)

· Foxtail (Setaria spp.)

· Johnson grass seedlings (Sorghum halepense)

Broadleaf weeds:

· Pigweed (Amaranthus spp.)

· Bidens spp.

· Ageratum spp.

· Galinsoga spp.

· Black nightshade (Solanum nigrum)

· And many other annual broadleaf species.

3. Fast Visible Results

Soon after application, weeds stop growing. Within 2–5 days, chlorosis begins to appear, and mesotrione induces progressive bleaching. By 7–14 days, treated weeds show clear desiccation and dieback. The rapid visual effect allows farmers to easily observe product performance.

4. Long-Lasting Residual Activity

Thanks to Terbuthylazine, GallentPowerPlus® provides excellent soil residual control, suppressing subsequent flushes of annual weeds. Compared with conventional post-emergence herbicides, it requires fewer repeat applications, reduces weed regrowth, and keeps maize fields cleaner for longer.

5. Excellent Crop Safety

When used at the recommended dosage, GallentPowerPlus® is highly selective to maize, with no negative effects on normal growth, root development, or photosynthesis. It supports vigorous crop establishment and early canopy closure.

6. Resistance Management Tool

By combining three distinct modes of action (ALS, PSII, and HPPD inhibitors), GallentPowerPlus® effectively delays the development of weed resistance—particularly where ALS inhibitors have been overused. It also delivers improved control against certain already-resistant weed populations.
